Wilbur E. Brown is the Manager of Technology Services at Emory University for seven University departments. Wil provides recommendations for development of information technology applications/systems and/or modification of existing information technology applications/systems; administers applications development and support; coordinates design of information technology infrastructure; authors information technology strategic and operational plans; resides over departments' information technology to ensure business continuity including security, backup, and recovery issues; and provides information technology guidance to other departments.
He has also volunteered his time in Azerbaijan to IREX (the International Research & Exchanges Board), a United States nonprofit organization specializing in education, independent media, internet development, and civil society programs in the United States, Europe, Eurasia, the Near East, and Asia. Wil previously held positions with AFLAC and Total System Services; in addition, he served four years in the United States Army.
He is married and resides in the Atlanta area with his wife and daughter.
