Rodger is responsible for the Technology Division which encompasses information security, mainframe and client server computing, application development, telecommunications and check processing. He has held this position since December 2004.
Overton joined AmSouth in 1974 as a Technical Engineer. In 1985 he was made Manager of Check Processing and was named Senior Vice President in 1988. In 1994 he became Manager of Application Development and was elected Executive Vice President in 2003.
He holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Samford University.
Rodger is a member of the board of directors for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and is a member of the University of Alabama in Birmingham's Information Systems Advisory Board.
