Don Riley is the Chief Information Officer for Mohawk Industries. He reports to Jeffrey S. Lorberbaum, Mohawk's Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer.
Mohawk is a vertically integrated global flooring company. The IS organization is actively engaged at all levels of Mohawk's business and strategies from the office of the Chairman on down to the workers on the plant floor. The IS Mission at Mohawk is to support Mohawk's strategies and goals through delivering cost-effective and innovative products and services that create a competitive advantage for Mohawk. In support of this mission, the IS organization has gone through a significant transformation over the last twenty-four months from a technology driven organization to a services driven organization.
Riley joined Mohawk Industries from Kellwood Company, where he served for six years as Corporate Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Kellwood is a $2 billion marketer of apparel and consumer soft goods, specializing in branded as well as private label products, and marketing to all channels of distribution and sourcing products in over 40 different countries around the globe. Prior to that, he served over a 12 year period in a variety of management, sales, business development and professional positions with Electronic Data Systems (EDS) Corporation headquartered in Plano, Texas. Riley also worked for Singer: Link Flight Simulation in Houston, Texas in support of NASA's space shuttle training simulator development program.
Riley received his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Mohawk is an $8B supplier of flooring for both residential and commercial applications in the United States and Europe and has grown through 20 acquisitions over the last 15 years with the latest being the acquisition of a $1B privately held European flooring company, Unilin. Mohawk offers a complete selection of broadloom carpet, ceramic tile, laminate, wood, stone, vinyl, rugs and other home products. These products are marketed under the premier brands in the industry, which include Mohawk, Karastan, Ralph Lauren, Lees, Bigelow, Dal-Tile, American Olean, and Quick-Step. Mohawk provides a premium level of service with its own trucking fleet and over 300 warehousing and local distribution locations. Mohawk markets its products to approximately 36,000 customers, which include independent floor covering retailers, home centers, mass merchandisers, department stores, builders, independent distributors, commercial dealers and commercial end-users.
