Steve Yorgen draws from nearly 26 years experience in technology. He is Vice President, Quality Services with Capital One Financial Corporation. He is responsible for the testing function of all software and IT projects throughout the organization. In this role, he has increased the quality of software delivery and increased the predictability of software delivery while reducing cost of delivery by several million dollars annually.
Mr. Yorgen has established multiple business relationships and negotiated contracts with two primary and two niche IT delivery vendors. He greatly improved IT responsiveness to fluctuations in business unit demand for service. He drove improvements in vendor delivery and additional cost reductions through active management of key program metrics and service levels.
Previous positions within Capital One include Director of Credit Decisioning System Development and Business Information Officer, Customer Relations.
Prior to joining Capital One, Mr. Yorgen held positions with United Insurance Co. of America, Coopers & Lybrand and Andersen Consulting. Mr. Yorgen received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Purdue University.
