Nominations

If you are a CEO, consider nominating your CIO or CTO. If you are a CIO or CTO or Vice President of Development, consider nominating your Quality Vice President, or Director. Consider nominating a peer or your boss. Consider nominating a customer. If you have a specific story of quality assurance accomplishments to tell, consider self nomination.

Nomination Criteria

Nominees for both awards have made significant contributions to the successful convergence of technology and business and are drawn from both the public and private sectors . (A candidate may be nominated for either or both categories, as appropriate, however separate applications must be used for each category ) - Additionally, an employee of a vendor that provides Quality Assurance products or services to the marketplace is not eligible to be nominated.

Visionary Award

This Award recognizes strategic planning, initiative, foresight, thought leadership, and the employment of Quality Assurance initiatives to support business objectives. The QLE Visionary Awards honor both an executive visionary from an end-user company and an Executive Visionary from a software company.

An End-user Company is described as a company that does not provide software as its core competency.

A Software Company is described as a company that provides software applications as its core competency.

Other characteristics of the QLE Visionary Awards nominee include:

• Primarily responsible for Information Technology performance of the company or organization
• Promotes a Quality vision that supports the enterprise business objectives
• Member of management (Director level or above)
• Demonstrates a proven track record of leadership and mentorship of teams
• Employed by a business or oversee the enterprise applications for a company or subsidiary that is located in the southeastern region including Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee
• Creates work environments that are positive and rewarding to employees.
• Nominees are encouraged to and Finalists are requested to attend the QLE Executive Forum and Awards Reception and Gala on the evening of Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at the JW Marriott Buckhead in Atlanta, GA in order to be recognized by their peers and the industry

 

Application Delivery Award

This Award recognizes technical acumen in the practice of Quality Assurance for the recent implementation of a specific software development project that proactively focused on integrating quality best practices into the development lifecycle which, in turn, lead to significant reduced costs, increased productivity, expedited speed to market or improved end user satisfaction.

The QLE Application Delivery Awards honor both an executive from an end-user company and an executive from a software company.

An End-user Company is described as a company that does not provide software as its core competency. A Software Company is described as a company that provides software applications as its core competency.

Other characteristics of the QLE Application Delivery Awards nominee include:

• Primarily responsible for managing a specified information technology project
• Exercises skill and judgment based on sharp technical acumen tempered by incorporation of business requirements and objectives
• Member of management (Director level or above)
• Demonstrates a proven track record of adherence to best quality practices
• Demonstrates success through metrics
• Demonstrates a proven track record of leadership and mentorship of teams
• Employed by a business or oversee the enterprise applications for a company or subsidiary that is located in the southeastern region including Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee
