The Event
To be held at the JW Marriott Buckhead in Atlanta, GA on Tuesday, December 11, 2007, the second annual Quality Leadership Executive (QLE) of the Year Southeast Awards (QLE Southeast Awards) will honor and recognize the achievements of Information Technology executives and their teams for the exemplary practice of I.T. Quality Assurance in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. Nominees will be evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges (to be announced via this website) and the results will be revealed on December 11, 2007, at the elegant awards ceremony gala.
The Awards
The QLE Southeast Awards include two categories and two sub-categories within each category:
Quality Leadership Executive of the Year Award - Visionary Category
Recognizing strategic planning, initiative, foresight, thought leadership, and the employment of Quality Assurance to support business objectives, the QLE Visionary Award honors both an Executive Visionary from an end-user company* and an Executive Visionary from a software company** .
Quality Leadership Executive of the Year Award - Application Delivery Category
Recognizing technical acumen in the practice of Quality Assurance for the recent implementation of a specific software development project that proactively focused on integrating quality best practices into the development lifecycle which, in turn, lead to significant reduced costs, increased productivity, expedited speed to market or improved end user satisfaction, the QLE Practitioner Award honors an executive from an end-user company* and an executive from a software company**.
*An End-user Company is described as a company that does not provide software as its core competency.
**A Software Company is described as a company that provides software applications as its core competency.
